Wessyngton and Washington descendants and friends at Dedication Ceremony October 3, 2015

Descendants of Tom and Jenny Washington.  Tom b. 1783 and Jenny b. 1785 came to Wessyngton in 1814 along with their four children: Frank b. 1806, Hannah b. 1808, Sarah b. 1810 and Henny b. 1814.  Descendants include the families of Emanuel and Henny Washington, Allen and Jenny Washington and Granville and Malinda Washington.

Descendants of Temperance Washington.  Temperance b. 1795 came to Wessyngton in 1815 along with her two children: Sam b. 1812, and Jane b. 1813.  Descendants include the families of Nelson, Irvin, Felix, Betsy, Temperance, and Isabel Washington.

Descendants of Marion Leavell Washington Simms  Green 1838-1918 and Ford Washington b. 1847.  Marion and Ford were the children of Arrie Leavell Washington born at Wessyngton in 1805.

Descendants of Dick Terry 1818-1879 and Aggy Washington Terry b. 1824.  Dick came to Wessyngton in 1838 from the estate of Nathaniel Terry of Todd County, Kentucky.  Aggy came to Wessyngton in 1842 along with thirteen other slaves.

Descendants of Aaron Gardner b. 1804 and Betty Gardner b. 1814.  Aaron and Betty came to Wessyngton in 1839  with their three sons Daniel b. 1829, George b. 1830, and Jackson b. 1831 from the plantation of Henry Gardner.

Descendants of Dick Scott b. 1812 and Anna Green b. 1814.  Dick and Anna came to Wessyngton in 1842 along with twelve other slaves from Nashville, including their daughter Sarah Jane Scott b. 1840.  Their other children Joseph, Bill Henry, Caldonia, and Daniel were born at Wessyngton.

Lewis descendants.  The Lewis family came to Wessyngton in 1844 from Fairfield Plantation in Nashville, owned by Maj. William B. Lewis.  This included twenty-nine individuals consisting of seven interrelated families.
